The Internet and the World Wide
Web represent a major revolution in the delivery of information. The
Internet facilitates nearly instant communication with large numbers of
people via email. The WWW provides a way to publish and update
information almost instantly. But, of even greater importance, the
HTML formatting protocol used in the WWW permits hyper-links from one
document to another, thereby reducing the need for excessive
repetition. References to a tax code section or technical term can be
linked to a page that provides an explanation of that code section or
term.
Large publishers have
a huge investment in their existing methods of producing, distributing
and marketing. Offshore Press is a small publisher of technical
research reports and we are able to make the committment to utilize the
unique benefits of the World Wide Web.
One of the major
benefits is the ability to hyperlink from one document to another so
that potentially confusing terms or concepts can be cross referenced.
We are also working to provide a link reference to explanations of tax
code sections and various tax forms from within our reports.
The WWW makes it
possible to update and revise reports information very quickly and to
send an email notice to hundreds or thousands of subscribers in
moments. With traditional methods of publishing, it takes months to
make updates of technical subjects.
We do offer some of
our reports or books in printed format, but we also offer them in
digital form, on a restricted web site for subscribers to our research
service.
For more than twenty
years, we published newsletters, reports and books on legal ways to
avoid taxes. We are in the process of converting and updating that
research and including it on our subscribers' web site.
More than sixty
in-depth asset protection reports are already online.
Each sub-topic of each chapter
of the 575 page offshore tax manual
is being organized as a separate web page to permit more efficient
updating and revisions. As soon as the offshore tax manual is online,
we will begin to update the asset protection reports and to organize
them the same way.
We receive technical help from
more than a dozen of the top legal experts in the country on the
subject of asset protection and we will soon be able to archive many of
their excellent articles and reports on our subscribers' web site.
Many of our reports will
continue to be available in printed form, but the price will reflect
the high and increasing cost of the paper, printing, labor and
shipping. The online library will provide much more information at a
much lower cost, with more timely updates.
Subscriptions to the online
library are $195 for the first year and $95 per year for renewal
subscriptions. New subscribers can save $75 by using our online
e-store to place their subscription using either Visa or Master
Card.
We offer a 100% refund at
any time during the first year if you are not fully satisfied with
the objectivity, the depth and the scope of the research material
available to our subscribers.
Our forte' is analyzing and
explaining complex and controversial legal or financial topics in plain
English. About half of our subscribers are very successful investors
and business owners. The others are accountants, lawyers and financial
planners.
We invite you to join our
growing community of professionals, investors and entrepreneurs for
whom we are publishing in-depth and objective research about many of
the most complex and controversial tax, legal or financial
strategies.
If you are looking for "cutting
edge" concepts, we are about as close as you can get without falling
over the edge of the cliff.
